Just the Facts

I like mornings when the birds are singing outside my window
Gravity pulls me to earth
The soft white filling of a sandwich cookie is my favorite part
The sum of all colors of light add up to white
Two pillows are what I need to sleep, one sturdy and one goose down
A body at rest stays at rest
Putting on your shoes is the hardest part
Energy cannot be created or destroyed
Hugging makes me happy and keeps me healthy
Two bodies attract each other with equal and opposite forces
Life gives back to you whatever you put in
For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction

Good morning, and welcome to Day 20 of the NaPoWriMo Challenge. Today’s challenge is to write a poem that states the things you know. For example, “The sky is blue” or “Pizza is my favorite food” or “The world’s smallest squid is Parateuthis tunicata. Each line can be a separate statement, or they can run together. The things you “know” of course, might be facts, or they might be a little bit more like beliefs.
