I don’t like the way you look at me
When you think that I can’t see
I don’t smile when I hear you say
My name at the end of a long day

Your hair that curls at your neck
It simply drive me mad
And when you hand touches mine
It makes me just feel bad

The twinkling sparkle of your grin
When you’re stirring up the pot
Makes me want to run away
Because you’re not that hot

And when it’s time to curl up
In covers safe and warm
Don’t think I’ll stay around for you
Won’t weather any storm

There’s someplace else I’d rather be
There’s a better life out there
You’re not the perfect man for me
I really mean it, hear?

Today’s NaPoWriMo Prompt: Write a poem in which each line is a lie.
